To determine if the early Virginians of the surname Higgerson, Higgason, and Hickerson are of the same family and if, perhaps, the surname originally might have been Higginson.  With one Hickerson who has tested, it appears the Hickersons are separate from the Higgerson/Higgason line, but we need another test to confirm the hypothesis.
