No matter how you spell your Hawes surname, we invite you to participate in our study, as long as you are at least eighteen years of age.
If you decide to participate, you will need to order a Y-DNA test kit; you may chose a 12-marker, 25-marker, 37-marker, or 59-marker kit. Currently, the 37-marker kit provides the most opportunity for matches in our study; it costs $189.00 + postage. Contact our group administrator for questions or information about payment options.
We also ask participants in our Hawes study to sign and return the release form included with the kit. Please look at our website for our goals, current news of our study and ongoing results.
We also welcome participants in National Geographic's genographic project to join us. A new test is not required for you and we desire your participation.
