Hi - my name is Haas and I got it from my grandfather who was a local from Upper Austria. Unfortunately i don't know much about his background - other than that he was an illegitimate child born to Unknown Haas as the mother and a Roman Catholic priest.

Thanks for adding me. My great grandfather was Leopold Haas (Halevi) of Darmstadt 1844-1918 with parents Abraham and Karoline Vohl Haas. Help is appreciated to match these names with known families in Darmstadt, Frankfurt, Hesse, etc. I have Y-DNA here now and hope for a breakthrough.

On 05/24/2012, My Uncle Paul Haas's y-dna haplogroup was completed and shared. It was then removed and has not been reposted in the Matches. I called FTDNA inquiring why and they said they would check into it. There still has been no results posted of their inquiry? Can someone explain why my Uncle does not have a haplogroup that I paid to receive.
