About us
I am making comparisons between myself (Kit #98898) and each other individual in the Gysi Project. While most men in this project are having the Y-DNA37 markers test, I and a couple others have taken the Y-DNA67 or 111 marker tests. Comparisons between individuals can be made only for the markers both individuals have tested. The table names an immigrant or most distant ancestor, the number of markers tested, and the genetic distance (the number of non-matching alleles). Mutation rates differ for each of the alleles. Using the formulas developed by Family Tree DNA we can calculate the probability of having a common ancestor within a given number of generations. I have reported these percentages in the table below. | ||||||||||||
