Testing the Y-chromosome will provide further proof of (or present us with new challenges to) genealogical research undertaken by Kathi Sittner and others, and reported in Kathi's publication "Freshour Faces." For those whose descent from the immigrant couple is unknown or unproven, Y-chromosome results might argue for a probable line of descent. Once our results are public, we may even find living males with other surnames who appear to be cousins, in which case there would be a need for further investigation.
