This project is open to all males who have tested positive for E-Y14891 or any of its downstream branches or who are Y-DNA matches to males who have tested positive for any of these SNPs. The project is also open to males who have tested positive for the upstream SNP Y14899, which includes, but is not limited to, Y14899*, F1539, or BY63615. It is a major Ashkenazi Jewish Y-chromosomal lineage. All men in this project are initially predicted as E-L117 or E-M35 by Family Tree DNA. Almost all men in the project also are aware of Jewish heritage on their paternal lines. If you possess both those particular initial haplogroup predictions and a known Jewish paternal line, there is a strong chance you belong in this project.
