About us
APRIL 2015 AFTER BIGY TEST RESULTS FOR DUNSWORTH KIT 230012.
Below I have copied the R1b U106 SNP subgroups that surround our DUNGWORTH/DUNSWORTH kits. In the subgroup title you will see the SNP branch progression from older SNPs to younger BIGY SNPs. You will see SNPs in the subgroups that match and then to the right you will see where they branch off from each other to the younger SNP branches.
In the very early pre-surname era in Europe, and before our DUNGWORTH/DUNSWORTH ancestor arrived in York, England, we most closely match the HAHN and TRAPHAGEN kits as we al lshare the FGC15317 SNP. One GLOVER kit also has that SNP, but he only traces his line in the USA. There is also a LOWNDES kit, but it only mentions “England.”
You can also see where some of the earlier shared SNPs show kits from Italy through Germany to Poland, so that might be a very, very early migration path for U106>>>CTS2509.
If I was in Continental Europe for a visit, I would head to the two areas in Germany that I list below. Now the word of caution of course is that these kits trace their ancestors to the 1600s and 1700s not earlier, but few families can go back much further. So, for now I think this general region can be looked upon by our DUNGWORTH/DUNSWORTH line as a clue to an early migration point prior to England.

Searches that I am doing on Gummer, Germany show it to be in near Wunstorf, west of Hanover.
"Gummer in the region of Lower Saxony is a town in Germany - some 163 mi (or 263 km) West of Berlin, the country's capital city."
Maspe is also in Lippe Germany and appears to be south/west of Gummer and Hanover. Mapquest says those two towns are about 51 miles apart and the village of Trophagen is about 14 miles from Maspe.
Here is a response from the kit manager for one of the TRAPHAGEN kits - "I own the Traphagen kit and can document the Traphagen family back to at least 1400 in Lemgo, Lippe. There is a village named Trophagen a few miles SW of Lemgo that was founded about 1150-1200 AD and the location where the Traphagen\Trophagen families originated. The Hahn family is also from Lippe but the kit owner can only trace her ancestry back at Maspe, Lippe in the 1700's when a baby was abandoned and left to be adopted by the Hahn family. Our DNA is close enough that there is possibly a Traphagen in this ancestry but no proof and little chance of going back past this situation for this family. Lemgo, Lippe has an old city that has many of the buildings dating back to the 1500's."

FAMILY FINDER AUTOSOMAL DNA TEST RESULTS --
Several descendants of Charles Dunsworth of the USA and one known female descendant of the Richard Dungworth family of Dungworth, Sheffield, York, England residing in the USA have taken the autosomal DNA Family Finder test. Test results show that the USA and English individuals any centimorgans of autosomal DNA (comparison result is 0.000000).
The common ancestor is too far in the past for any shared autosomal DNA to remain.
