The Dreisbach/Dresbach/...Tricebock project goal is to examine the Dreisbach lineage and relatedness using DNA evidence. There are a number of Dreisbachs who cannot trace their ancestors beyond the 1800's and it is hoped that this project will enable them to find a connection with Dreisbachs who have known genealogies.
Another goal is to establish whether the surname of Dreisbach arose, independently, in several places in Germany - or whether all Dreisbachs are related to Abraham of Balde and his male antecedents.
We are also trying to recruit Dreisbachs who live in Germany and other areas of the world to take the DNA test in the hope of finding more distant common ancestors.
