To be able to identify family lines currently existing for Dodsons/Dotsons in the U. S. (and hopefully the world at some point) so that individual participants can hook onto existing family lines that have been researched and documented. In so doing we'll be able to take our own personal family tree back additional generations.
A further note: We could even see some Dobsons joining our study, as spelling was a problem in early America. Some Dodgsons also seem to have evolved into Dodsons.
