We have our first 16 results and they look good!
We have also decided to display the mtDNA (female - passed down from a mother to her children) results for any of our project members who have this test done. They are being displayed for convenience, we do not really expect matches - unless the Lancashire area has an influence. Since Males do not pass this mitochondrial DNA on, and females traditioanlly change their surnames with marriage, these results would not be connected to the DEWHURST surname.
Three members have had the mtDNA tests completed.
