Group 1 all seem to be descendants of the Thomas and Elizabeth who were in Virginia by 1700.

Group 2 descend from John and John B. Couch from Salem Co., NJ and Meshack Couch who settled in Guilford Co., NC

Group 3 is from Simon Couch of Connecticut.
