The four Caperton males that have tested so far are positive matches. I know 2 of them are related by the common ancester, Ryan Perkins Caperton, born in 1847. Ryan goes back to John Caperton born about 1725. The Capertons tested all go back to this John. That would be about 8 generations back. Two mtDNA tests have been done so far for Native American. This test is for the maternal line and the results show that the subjects are of European origin, and therefore not Native American. The paternal lines have also resulted in European lineage. Our haplogroup is R1b1b2.
