Our goal right now is to find some ancestors in the UK to test with us to help determine the origin of the Capertons in the United States.
We were looking for possible Native American connections that have been family tradition for many years. The tests have shown that there is no Native American heritage in the maternal lines or paternal lines in the tested subjects as of July, 2005. If we were to see Native American ancestry we would expect to see haplogroup Q1a3a or C3 for the Y-DNA. For the mtDNA we would expect to see A, B, C, D, or X2a.
So one goal has been accomplished!
