Through Big Y testing (previously Big Y-500 test and now Big Y-700), many SNPs have been found below the SNP L1066, new SNPs which are exclusive to our group.
As a direct result of several individuals engaging in further YDNA testing, mainly from the Big Y tesing,
we can clearly see the branching for this lineage. Eventually more branches will form from other people
testing and will see the separation of the various surnames and be able to estimate the time periods based
upon the number of matched and non-matched SNPs found under L1066 and more recent SNPs such as A6119.
The Central Irish/British Isles YCAII 22-23 Signature is comprised of the following STR values:
Positive or predicted positive for the SNPs Z253>L1066/CTS1202>A6119 along with the following YDNA STR values:
DYS393 - 13 or 14
DYS390 - 24 or 25
DYS389I - 14 or 15 (*13 has since been found as well)
DYS389II - 30 or 31 (*29 has since been found as well)
YCAIIa - 22 or 23 (so YCAIIa/b combination would be 22-23, 23-23 or 22-22)
DYS456 - 14 or 15
DYS534 - 14 (*15 has since been found as well)
DYS520 - 21
DYS572 - 12
Update-
DYS392 - Most matches have 13 however we now have confirmed matches with 14 also
YCAII - We now have a confirmed match having the values of 22-22 at this marker
