The comparison of the William Barden line and the James Bardens line show a genetic distance of over 20 units which convincingly demonstrates that there is no close relationship between the two lines. James Bardens could not have been the grandson of William Barden as speculated in the Barden•Bardeen Genealogy and other sources.
