The project is aimed at establishing the genetic connections between the various branches of the Barden, Bardeen, Bardens and related families. The Y-DNA tests can help establish the paternal line of living family members and the probable common ancestors between different branches of the family. In particular, the project would like to determine the possible relationship between the William Barden line and the James Bardens line.
