  • 2025 March:  A very gratifying thank-you note from a member, quoted here with permission.  "OMG!  Long story short, I couldn't sleep so I was playing around with the links in your post. Tracing William's descendants: son Henry Clay, son William Sr, son William Jr, then BINGO son John born 1808 wife Nancy Thompson. My dead end brick wall is no more!!! I will get my brother Big Y 700 tested as soon as I can find the money."
  • 2025 February:  We have a new admin team of 3: Una Smith, Allen Hughey, Elizabeth Arnold. Una and Allen are organizing Y-DNA subgroups in accord with the Big Y Time Tree. Elizabeth is tracking Arnold pedigrees based on historical records.  Over 70 distinct Y-DNA descendant trees have been found, and we are sure many more remain to be found.  Which tree do you belong to?  Test your Y-DNA and find out.

Anyone interested in joining our admin team please send the admin team a brief summary of your DNA knowledge and experience in interpretation of results.  What does the admin team do?  Mostly, we enjoy the ability to view all members' match lists and see the big picture.  While not disclosing any private information without permission, we help members make connections, recommend the most appropriate next steps to research, help with account recoveries by test owners and heirs, and more.  Many of our earliest test owners have passed away;  their kits are part of their legacy and are managed now by a descendant.
