This project is intended to find the haplogroup for each of the 64 persons in our 6th generation back ancestry (ie my and my husband's 3 great grandparents). Each of these individuals has many descendents that may be interested in this information. I am interested in seeing the number of different haplogroups that came together to make my generation. This project has 4 subgroups (Damschroder, Althoff, Orta, Fargas) that are each composed of the male group and the female group. I would like to see the males do the 67 marker and deep clade tests and the females do the full sequence. It would also be interesting to find the family finder cultural breakdowns as they apply to this group. Obviously, the project needs the males descended from males for the surnames of the men in that 6th generation and the females descended from females tracing down from the women of that generation. There are additional interests including an attempt to determine the 7th generation back Fuller male (this includes working with the Fuller surname project) and a similar situation with the Lewis surname. Another interest is in seeing how this large Althoff family relates to another large Althoff family both of which started in this country a few years apart. Would also like to determine any other closely related surnames to Frater. Other projects may arise that will be of interest to part or all of this project's participants.
