Project Background
As many as 12 septs of Quin(n) (O'Quinn) are thought to exist. Some are thought to have an ancient kinship whilst others reflect independent origins of the surname. Knowing which sept you may originate from ties you into the ancient history of Ireland. At this early stage we need as many participants as possible to identify the major groupings.
