This group is primarily for those of STEFFxx or STEPHxx surnames (or variations thereof) who suspect a Pennsylvania German or Swiss origin. Candidates are advised (but not required) to order a 37-marker test that provides sufficient opportunity to link to a potential immigrant. Our goal is to help you find or represent your ancestral STEFFxx/STEPHxx family. Persons who suspect or are confirmed members of any similarly-named family group of whatever geographical area are welcome. You are also invited to consider mtDNA and the new "Family Finder" testing.
