About us

Thank you for your support. See colorized YDNA matrix and SNP report for lab results. Carefully study the subgroup names, which I have crafted to reflect their haplogroup and paper trail placement, as explained to me by project members and other sources.  Original source citations and corrections are always appreciated. I have taken down my 2004-2015 Working papers and genealogical research which have been posted here and on genforum/rootsweb over the earlier decades---my focus now is limited to male YDNA, particularly BigY700 (earlier BigY500), with very important SNP refinement! Buying individual SNP tests may also be important as you narrow down your haplogroup. By joining the project you agree to be joined with your haplogroup projects, and sub-projects over time. If you own/sponsor a YDNA kit which has been signed into -- to formally submit a Poole YDNA Project Join Request or if you are already in my project, you may call me in the afternoon with key DNA questions-- we can chat via phone a few times if you live in the USA. Should you need written or extra assistance, please visit your librarian, historical society, genealogical society, or tech team and importantly hire a paid researcher. I no longer can do your genealogy work, so don't ask.

Adoptees should join and work with adoption-related projects to resolve questions. I am unable to provide answers.

All participants should write a single working paper (pdf) on their research and submit that to me; this should be updated over the course of time. Participants who wish to write in a blog style, should join one of the many excellent forums, blogs, and DNA discussion groups on the web. Good Luck! Please submit your own working papers- yes, your own work product- in pdf format. Thank you.
