My Name is Billy Allison. Sometime during 2002 as I was tracing my Allison family history I ran into a brick wall as most of us do. I decided to submit a DNA sample and join the Allison surname project to see if it could help me break down that wall. That decision proved to be a major point in my life because as it turned out my DNA showed I was not an Allison biologically. After a couple more years of research I learned the name of my biological father. It was Burke and after I joined the Burke surname project this was confirmed by DNA.

I started working on my mother's line (Gazaway) in 2005 and figured that having a Gazaway/Gasaway/Gassaway/Gazway etc. surname project would prove beneficial to not only my research but others as well, so in March of 2008 I decided to administer a Gazaway/Gasaway/Gassaway/Gazway etc. Surname project.
