About us

We need more Blizzard lines tested to at least be able to group families and correct family lines, as at least several different DNA Haplo-goups of Blizzards appear in Ohio, New Jersey, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida.

FELLOW BLIZZARD RESEARCHER LINKS:

Debbie Blizzard researched Northern United States Blizzards which includes John born 1720, and Ruth Blizzard of Pendleton, West Virginia, whose sons moved to Ohio.

Tarika Blizzard Green of Hampton, Virginia, traced her Surry Co, Virginia family to Sarah Blizzard born 1730 who was said to be a run-away member of Western Virginia Blizzards. Her son Peter Blizzard born 1760 was the ancestor of Tarika. Tarika Blizzard passed away at the age of 35, on 13 Sep 2008. https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/42806694/tarika-lolita-green
Her family webpage will be maintained by her mother. On May 9, 2009, Norfolk State University gave Tarika Blizzard Green an Honorary Degree. No one deserves it more than Tarika who was very active in the community and missed by everyone who knew her.
