All Wolinsky, Wilonsky, Wilensky, Wolins, Wolinetz, Wolinski, Wilentz, and similar surname males in America, Europe, and around the world, are cordially invited to take the Y-DNA test and join this new Wolinsky - Wilonsky - Wilensky Family History Y-DNA Study. Female Wolinsky-variation descendants and male Wolinsky-variation descendants not having the Wolinsky-variation surname are also cordially invited to participate and join in advancing the Study by encouraging their Wolinsky-surname brother, uncle, cousin, etc., to submit a simple cheek-swab test. They can also do the Family Finder (FF) test, which uses an extraordinary technology to search for at-DNA profile blocks and matches on all the tester's lines on both sides of his or her family. The FF test reaches back around 6-7+ generations due to random recombination of ancestor-union profile blocks each generation... We recommend the y-dna test of at least 37 markers. The more markers, the better the bang for the buck and the more marker detail for longer-range tracing accuracy. The 12 and 25-marker tests are too general to be very useful for genealogical dna tracing, and typically need to be upgraded to at least 37 to provide enough specific data and avoid false positives. The 37m is a very good test and has a much better bang for the buck in markers per dollar than the 25m. The 67 and 111m tests have progressively greater marker detail for longer range accuracy in tracing back into Wolinsky Y-DNA history.
