WHAT WE'RE ABOUT

The Windsor Surname Project exists to accomplish the following:

1. Identify the various individual Windsor family lines by testing the Y-DNA of males who bear this surname or any of its variants

2. Classify the lines thus identified to enable researchers to identify their deep ancestral roots

3. Connect Windsor lines outside the British Isles with the corresponding British lines from whom they originated

HOW YOU CAN HELP

• If you're a Windsor male (or think you might be descended from one), GET TESTED YOURSELF (37 Y-DNA markers or more)

• If you're related to a Windsor male, GET HIM TESTED

• Get in touch with Windsor families through directories and social media (there are lots of resources available now online)

• Contribute to the Windsor Surname Project GENERAL FUND so we can fund DNA tests for others when this is necessary
