To prove or disprove relationships between Weathers, Withers, Wethers and or Wythers' family groups through Y-DNA testing of male descendants. The initial objective is to obtain test results for each family group by actively encouraging participation of at least one male descendant from each group. The answers to some questions will begin to emerge as soon as the first few test results become available later this year—timing that will seem especially short to researchers who have long sought such answers using conventional genealogical research tools.
