Our present members descend from the following lines: 1) James Warthen/Worthen & Nancy Puckett of N.C, m. 1785, Warren NC, moved to Warren Co., TN and d. Jackson County, IL., members descend through their son, James Worthen. 2) William and Phebe Puckett Warthen/Worthen ma. 1790 Warren Co., NC d. in Overton Co., TN. Some children moved to Indiana. One is 6 generations from William and Phebe Puckett Warthen/Worthen via their son William A. Warthen b 1795, some moved to Alabama; 3) Alban Warthen & Elizabeth Vance d. Licking Co. Ohio; 4). John Worthen/Warthen & wife unknown d. Wayne County, TN., 3 members through his son William S. Warthen & Letty Mae (Collins?,)(3rd marriage) ,Collin Co., TX d. Indian Territory near Mannsville, (OK); 5) George Wathen & Margery Hayward d. Salem, Essex, MA. 1 member through their son Ezekiel Worthen; 6) Our latest member's DNA connects him to both James & Nancy Puckett Warthen/Worthen and William and Pheby Warthen/Worthen. His direct line is from Walter G. Warthen, b. abt 1790 in probably Prince George County, possibly Fort Powhatan, Virginia. He married Lucy A. Rea in Henry County, VA in 1823.
