About us

Hi there ! My name is Warren Garnier. I am the moderator of this link "Ancient germanic surnames".

Since 1500 in my Luxembourgish family from the Benelux, I'm wondering on the source of my name of Garnier.

I'm blue & green eyes and brown hair like my grand-father Lucas Garnier.

My haplogroup is obviously R1b * R1b1a2 :

13 24 15 10 11-14 12 12 12 12 13 28 16 9-9 11 11 25 15 18 30 17-17-18-18 11 11 19-23 16 14 18 17 36-36 12 12

* R-M269...

Yes, I'm disappointed because it is so ordinary...

I created this site because we have never compared DNA tests from a surname of Germanic origin, whether you are European or American it does not matter, the goal is to understand our history.
