FTDNA Family Tree Integration with MyHeritage
Here is a video by Katie Rowe-Schurwanz on You Tube - Genealogy TV channel discussing the FTDNA to MyHeritage family tree integration. This is the same presentation that Katie gave to the Dallas Genealogical Society DNA Special Interest Group ((SIG) on August 15, 2024 with additional comments and questions by the host of Genealogy TV, Constance H. Knox.
An important thing to know is that FTDNA is not sharing DNA results with MyHeritage. It is only family tree you have on FTDNA website that is being integrated with MyHeritage.
You may have heard or seen information about the integration of family trees from Family Tree DNA (FTDNA) to MyHeritage. I recommend that you update your family tree on the FTDNA site before you make the transition.
After September 9, 2024, you will not be able to update your FTDNA family tree. Once you connect your FTDNA tree to MyHeritage (even before Sept. 9th) you will not be able to update your tree on FTDNA site.
