THERRIEN, THERIEN, TERRIEN, THERRIAN, TERIEN, TARIAN, DESCENDANTS OF PIERRE AND JEAN TERRIEN and any other reasonable spelling variations are invited to join the Therrien Surname Project. DNA testing can be a valuable tool in genealogical research when it is combined with conventional genealogical research. Conventional genealogical research can only go as far as the records for the most distant relative. Test results, on the other hand, can be used to confirm a suspected connection, or disprove a connection, between two descendants. So, the Y-DNA test may help us to acquaint ourselves with our Therrien origins in France and the common roots of Jean and Pierre Terrien and their descendants where the records have not been able to confirm a connection.
