The project aims to take your genealogical research back another step, wherever your starting point. Perhaps from United States of America, Australia, and New Zealand; back to the United Kingdom, and England; perhaps Continental Europe. It allows you to explore your early ancestry, to discover which Templer/Templar (or other) lineages are the closest to yours. If you have two families that might (or might not) be related, the Y-DNA test will give you a very good indication; particularly with Big Y results. The project also serves as a forum by which the Y-DNA testers and their genealogical colleagues can make contact with each other.
