We want to prove how we are related to one another who have an ancestor included in this surname DNA project.

 Y-DNA and atDNA genetic genealogy testing can give us those answers.

Many or most of us have traced our families back using paper genealogical research and the public records; i.e. County records, Birth records, family Bibles, Census records both federal and local, as well as letters from the attic cedar chest an all other such means.

Many genealogists find ourselves contending with the two published books  A Tedford Family by Detty and The Tilford Family by Mize in the 1950's which our project and DNA testing has proven these two families are not related

You are welcome to represent your Tedford, Telford, Telfer etc. family line in our DNA project by ordering a Y DNA test kit(males only) and a Family Finder autosomal DNA test(both females and males can test).
