About us
This project will compare the Y-chromosome markers of male (patrilineal) descendants of Omodeo de Tassis del Cornello, who lived in the vicinity of St. Joannis Albi, near Bergamo, Italy, in 1251. Through DNA testing, it is the aim of this project to see how, and if, men bearing the TAXIS surname, or one of its many variations, are descended from Omodeo de Tassis.
This project is open to males with the surnames: Taxis, von Taxis, von Thurn und Taxis, Tassis, de la Tour et Tassis, Tacques, Tasso, Tazzo, and all of the other variations of the surname.
