This project will compare the Y-chromosome markers of male (patrilineal) descendants of Omodeo de Tassis del Cornello, who lived in the vicinity of St. Joannis Albi, near Bergamo, Italy, in 1251. Through DNA testing, it is the aim of this project to see how, and if, men bearing the TAXIS surname, or one of its variations, are descended from Omodeo de Tassis.
