It was originally created in 2003 to help settle various disputes among many Stockton researchers about suspected relationships between family lines.
To date (May 2026), we have 169 members. members.
The main Stockton Haplogroups are:
G-M201 - attributed to the Richard Stockton of Princeton, NJ Family, and Richard “the Emigrant” Stockton with close relatives found in Malpas, Bunbury, and Burwardsley, of Cheshire, England
I-XXX - attributed to Davis Stockton of Virginia and Robert Stockton of Pennsylvania descendants. This haplogroup originally arrived in UK through the Scandinavian countries.
R-M269 - attributed to several US and UK Stockton's, but not related to either Davis, Robert or Richard Stockton.
