The goals of the project are:

1. To identify which members are most closely related to each other. 

2. To help members establish which genetic family they belong. 

3. To confirm traditional genealogies

4. To help to focus further genealogical research. 

5. To identify the likely origin of each genetic family

6. To learn about the evolution and origin of our surname.
