This project was created to help people with either direct maternal and/or direct paternal roots in Southern Maryland (Calvert, Charles, St. Mary's, souther Prince Georges and southern Anne Arundel Counties) connect and learn from each other and possibly break down those direct-male or direct-female line brick walls. Many people from this area migrated north and west, but many have descendants that are still there today. While it is hoped that people who join this group have tested either Y-DNA or mtDNA, all are welcome so that we can connect and collaborate!
