Project Objectives on 23 September 2008: The purpose of this new project is to identify a set of female progenitresses (stammoeders) who are the common ancestors to a large group of South African population today. It is anticipated that progenitresses from 3 continents will be represented: Africa, Asia and Europe. Categorisation as per https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haplogroup.
