Y-DNA Results confirmed that descendants of Thomas Smithson and Ann Scott through their grandson Thomas Smithson of Thomas Jr. (1742-1774) who married Sarah Bond whose descendants went to Greenbrier County, Virginia (now West Virginia) match 12 for 12 markers with descendants of Thomas' other grandson Daniel Smithson of Thomas Jr. (1743-1798).
