This project was created to further the exploration and advance the knowledge of Smelser-Smeltzer family genealogy. Our primary goal is to identify connections between the identified surnames Smelser, Smeltzer, Smelcer and other surname variations being researched in North America. However, the project is not necessarily limited to North American submissions. The Smeltzer-Smelser (Schmeltzer or Schmelzer) family has distributed itself around the World and it would be a great tribute to all of the family members who came before to identify those continuing connections. DNA testing promises to help us all accomplish that and other goals currently beyond our vision. Our project includes the opportunity for many possible similar surnames to test.
