The ultimate goal of the Shipman Family DNA project is to link all related American SHIPMAN lines, and to find a linked SHIPMAN line of European origin. Participants with known lineage back to Western Europe or other parts of Europe are encouraged to participate in order that we might compare DNA results of American SHIPMAN descendants. The cost of the DNA test is paid for by the participant.
