About us
Have you ever wondered where in Ireland your Shanahan clan is from? I did. I spent 25 years researching the Shanahan family history. If only we had the ability to use DNA back then, I would have saved so much time and energy. Now, all you need is a SHANAHAN man and a "swab" of the inside of his cheek. It is that easy.
During my visit to Ireland in September of 2006, I was given DNA by six (6) wonderful Shanahan men. Five of them were from County Kerry and one was from County Tipperary. Three (3) Shanahan men from the USA have given their DNA and one of these men match a man from County Kerry. Another Shanahan man from the USA gave his DNA and found that he is related to a man in the Shannon DNA group. (I work closely with the Administrators from the Shannon group as well.)
