The project was begun in May 2007 with a 25-marker Y-DNA test done on the last living male Sewright in this branch of the fourth generation of the 1847 Sewright immigrant to Wisconsin. As of March 2009 we have two participants, but unfortunately, no matches yet! We encourage other Seawright/Searight/Seright/Sievewright descendants to participate to help unravel the mystery of our Sewright origins. We hope you'll sign up!
