The Project plans to make announcements to Sewright/Seawright/Searight/Seright family groups in the U.S. through genealogy forums and personal contact with family members via the internet. Many Seawright families still live in Northern Ireland and Scotland today and the Project will make an effort to contact members of those families as well to participate in contributing Y-DNA samples.

In addition, due to the suggested origins of the family name as Sievewright, the Project will be contacting members with variant Sivewright spellings in Scotland.
