The goal of the Schultz Surname Project is to distinguish between Schultz ancestral lines, worldwide. Any reasonable spelling variant is included (please feel free to suggest a variant you feel I have missed).
Please note that, at the outset, it makes sense to "cast the net widely." As the number of individuals tested increases and various lines become well defined, I will be more than happy to turn over these lines to other researchers specializing in them. I don't recommend splitting-up the project at the outset because I have a feeling we are in for some surprises with regard to where the divisions belong...
Also please note that, to participate meaningfully, you will need to share your male direct-line ancestry. The easiest way is to upload a GEDCOM file on this web site. Otherwise, you can use the manual editor, beginning with yourself, and entering your father, his father, and so forth as far back as you have information. The last person entered should be the same as your earliest common male ancestor which you enter on your profile page.
