Проект "Сас Y-ДНК" створений у рамках Проекту "Українська ДНК" (https://www.familytreedna.com/groups/ukrainian-dna/), що базується на результатах генетичного тестування тестової компанії Family Tree DNA (FTDNA), для вивченння генетичного родоводу нащадків шляхти гербу Сас (Драґ), до якого належала більшість української (руської) шляхти Галичини (Червоної Русі). Поточні учасники Проекту "Українська ДНК", котрі вважають себе нащадками шляхти гербу Сас за прямою батьківською лінією або чиї прізвища є в переліку шляхтичів гербу Сас (http://www.uadna.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=58&t=15#p16), заохочуються прилучатися до проекту "Сас Y-ДНК". Для цього потрібно зі своєї сторінки MyFTDNA (https://www.familytreedna.com/login.aspx) перейти за ланкою Projects > Join, відшукати Проект за ключовим словом "Sas" і подати запит (Request) на прилучення до нього. Усіх інших просимо спочатку вступити до Проекту "Українська ДНК" (https://www.familytreedna.com/groups/ukrainian-dna/about/background) і пізніше, якщо вони вважатимуть себе прийнятними, подавати запит на прилучення до Проекту "Сас Y-ДНК". ========================= Sas Y-DNA Project has been created as a sub-project to the Ukrainian DNA Project (https://www.familytreedna.com/groups/ukrainian-dna/) based on the results of the genetic testing by Family Tree DNA (FTDNA) testing company, to study genealogy of descendants of the Sas (Drag) Coat of Arms szlachta, to wich a majority of the Ukrainian (Ruthenian) szlachta (shlyakhta) of Halychyna (Galicia or Red Ruthenia) had belonged. The current participants of the Ukrainian DNA Project who consider themselves descendants of the Sas Coat of Arms szlachta on the direct paternal lines or whose last names (surnames) are in the list of the Sas szlachta (http://www.uadna.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=58&t=15#p16) are encouraged to join Sas Y-DNA Project. To do so, one needs to follow Projects > Join link, search for the Project by 'Sas' keyword, and put the request for joining. All other testers are asked to join the Ukrainian DNA Project (https://www.familytreedna.com/groups/ukrainian-dna/about/background) first and then, if they consider themselves eligible, send a request for joining the Sas Y-DNA Project.
