The Salgado Surname Project is open to all males surnamed Salgado who are interested in working together to find their common heritage through sharing of information and Y-DNA testing. Since females have no Y-chromosome to test and do not qualify, if the paternal surname is Salgado you can have your father, brother, a male Salgado uncle or cousin test in your place. Males or females with the maternal surname of Salgado can only have their mother's father, paternal grandfather, mother's brother or their male Salgado cousin test in their stead.
