About us
This group aims to find and classify the genetic connections between SANSBURY, SAINSBURY and similarly named surname lines to establish how our families are related to each other, and how members within each surname group are related to common SANSBURY or SAINSBURY ancestors.
Y-DNA testing is a particular focus of this project because it traces descent and relationships in the patrilineal line. It therefore confirms and uncovers relationships among families based largely on their surname.
We encourage sharing among group project members to help members break through their brick walls. Our project administrator is a professional genealogist. Our co-administrator is a former health sciences librarian. They are available to offer advice about DNA testing and analysis.
