The primary goal of this project is to establish a “reference library” of the markers of known Rowland lineages, against which any Rowland can compare their marker information to determine which line they are related. Since individuals that share the same marker patterns and similar surnames also share a common ancestor, this information allows the researcher to quickly focus on one group of Rowland’s and also know which Rowland’s they can exclude!
