The Romanian Moldova and Bucovina DNA Project aims to explore the genetic diversity of what are now the eastern lands of Romania. We are encouraging descendants of the so called Csango's of Bacău and Neamț, Moldovans, Roma, Poles, Jews, etc. or of any other ethnic group that believe or know to have roots in what is now the historical region of Moldova (including Bucovina) to join the project. The tests we use in this particular DNA project are Y-DNA tests (Y-STR, e.g. Y-37, Y-700) (read the Background section) therefore, to be grouped, we recommend joining after you have tested your Y-DNA.
